Henry Road

Project Overview

Our clients at Henry Road invited us to redesign several key rooms in their West Bridgford home — three bedrooms, the main bathroom, the shower room and the downstairs WC. The aim was to introduce cohesive, modern interiors with improved storage, refined finishes and a calm, connected feel throughout.

We worked closely with the homeowners from the initial brief through to technical design, joinery manufacture and full project management of trades for all bathroom spaces. Our focus was on elevating each room with considered layouts, natural materials and a warm, understated aesthetic.

Bedrooms — Bespoke Wardrobes Designed for Each Space

Each of the three bedrooms required tailored storage that felt both functional and integrated.

Across all rooms, we designed and built:

  • Full-height bespoke wardrobes

  • Custom internal layouts fitted to the needs of each bedroom

  • Finishes chosen to complement each room’s palette

  • Clean, minimal joinery details for a calm, contemporary look

The wardrobes were crafted in our Nottingham workshop, ensuring a precise and cohesive finish across each space.

Bathroom — Calm, Modern & Refined

The main bathroom was fully redesigned to create a softer, more practical space for everyday use.

Key updates included:

  • A refined layout to improve comfort and circulation

  • New bath, basin and brassware selections

  • Large-format tiles on the floor paired with small, glossy square tiles on the walls

  • A bespoke vanity unit providing generous storage without overwhelming the space

  • A lighting and mirror arrangement designed to create a warm, relaxed feel

The combination of textures and gentle tones gives the bathroom a timeless and understated character.

Shower Room — Updated Finishes for a Cohesive Feel

The shower room layout remained the same, but the finishes and detailing were fully updated to create a more refined and cohesive look.

As shown in the design package  , updates included:

  • New wall and floor tiles

  • A refreshed green colour palette

  • Updated brassware

  • A dual-fuel towel rail positioned for easier everyday use

  • Reworked detailing around the shower, screen and storage niche

These changes create a more inviting and harmonious space without altering its footprint.

Downstairs WC — A Small Space with Character

The downstairs WC was redesigned with a cleaner, more contemporary scheme while staying visually connected to the other bathroom spaces.

Key details include:

  • A bespoke wall-hung vanity with integrated storage

  • A green colour palette — a different shade from the main bathroom, but still complementary

  • Refined tiling and contemporary brassware

  • A simple, modern mirror arrangement

Though compact, the WC now feels much more considered, with a characterful but cohesive look.

Project Management

Boyes Design managed and coordinated all trades for the bathroom, shower room and WC works — including plumbing, electrical, tiling, installation, joinery, decorating and final finishing.

This ensured a smooth, well-sequenced process, with each space delivered precisely to the agreed designs.

Final Outcome

The Henry Road project brings a calm, cohesive feel to this West Bridgford home.

With bespoke wardrobes in all three bedrooms and refreshed bathroom spaces across multiple floors, the interiors now feel more functional, comfortable and visually connected.

Through the use of natural materials, gentle colour palettes and tailored joinery, each room has been elevated into a refined, modern space designed to suit the homeowners’ daily lives.
