Overview
For this private home in Normanton-on-the-Wolds, we were appointed to redesign and deliver a master bedroom and cinema room as part of a wider refurbishment.
Our role combined interior design, bespoke joinery and full project coordination — managing the process from concept through to completion.
Both spaces were reimagined to improve flow, functionality and atmosphere, creating rooms that feel calm, considered and tailored to the way the clients live.
Cinema Room
Originally a standard living room, the cinema space required a complete rethink of its layout to realise its full potential.
We reconfigured the room by repositioning the seating away from the window and towards the rear wall, allowing for the integration of a ceiling-mounted projection screen, discreetly positioned in front of the window when in use.
Bespoke joinery was designed to house the projector and supporting equipment, finished in warm timber tones that complement the darker palette and enhance the sense of immersion. The technology is carefully integrated, allowing the focus to remain on the overall experience rather than the equipment itself.
Lighting and material choices were considered to balance comfort, functionality and atmosphere, resulting in a space that feels both refined and purpose-built.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom was reconfigured to create a clearer, more balanced layout.
By positioning the bed alongside the window, the floor area was opened up, improving both circulation and the overall sense of space. Bespoke wardrobes were designed to sit either side of the entrance and en-suite doors, creating a clean, integrated composition that frames the room without overwhelming it.
A dressing table was incorporated within the dormer window, making use of natural light while maintaining a calm and uncluttered aesthetic. A concealed mechanism allows the space to be closed away when not in use, reinforcing the sense of simplicity and order.
Throughout the room, bespoke joinery, natural materials and restrained detailing come together to create a space that feels balanced, practical and quietly refined.
Design-Led, Fully Managed
This project reflects our holistic approach to residential interiors — where design, craftsmanship and delivery are considered together from the outset.
By managing layouts, bespoke joinery, finishes and on-site coordination, we ensured both spaces were delivered with clarity, consistency and attention to detail throughout.
