Overview
Working closely with the clients, we refurbished the existing kitchen to create a more considered and cohesive space, while retaining the original layout.
The aim was to refresh the interior through material and finish updates, introducing warmth, contrast and improved detailing without altering the footprint.
Design Approach
The design focuses on a balance between traditional character and contemporary elements.
Existing cabinetry was reworked with a new olive green finish, bringing depth and richness to the space. This is paired with natural oak elements — including a circular peninsula and extractor detail — which introduce warmth and a tactile quality.
A tiled backsplash and Dekton worktop add durability and contrast, while updated hardware refines the overall look. Together, these elements create a kitchen that feels updated and cohesive, without losing its original character.
Delivery
The project was developed through detailed design and 3D visualisation, allowing the clients to fully understand and refine the scheme before work began.
On site, the refurbishment was delivered over a four-week period, including all joinery, finishes and coordination of associated trades.
Final Outcome
The completed kitchen demonstrates how a carefully considered refurbishment can transform an existing space.
By focusing on materials, colour and detailing, the kitchen now feels warmer, more refined and better suited to everyday living, while working within the constraints of the original layout.
